ee

  • Introduction

The aim of this report is to describe my six weeks’ work experience with Spaghetti Kitchen and to make some recommendations.

  • Description of the work

I have been working as a waitress in a pizzeria called Spaghetti Kitchen. It is an amazing place in the very heart of the city and it has one of the best cuisines. Furthermore the manager of the restaurant is very polite and tries to help to younger members of the staff. To be honest the work is hard and everyone needs to be responsible for it. Communicating with many different clients is a big adventure-some of them are very exigent, rude and offend the personnel but others are well- mannered. Being a professional means that you have to be polite with everyone no matter what their attitude is.

  • Opinion of the work experience

Once you get used to the rhythm of working it becomes such a pleasure to be a part of the team. Despite having extremely tough days in the pizzeria with many clients, there is no better way to practice everything which is studied in class. On the whole, I found my time with the working team extremely beneficial.

  • Recommendations

I suggest that every student to work for a while in a restaurant. Seeing the real work helps you to evaluate how difficult your further job in this area will be. What is more-it makes you grow up immediately and become trustworthy.

  • Conclusion

To sum up, Spaghetti Kitchen is an ideal restaurant with which to do work experience.

“Midnight in Paris” or “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”?

“Midnight in Paris” and “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” would make your home cinema evening enjoyable, no matter if you are a teenager or an adult. The two movies are suitable for different age groups, so everyone can find their own cup of tea.

“Midnight in Paris” is brilliantly directed film by Woody Allen. The cast include many
famous faces like Rachel McAdams and Owen Wilson who deliver a fantastic and
wholehearted performance. The film is set in Paris, where a young writer and his
fiancée spend a couple of weeks. Their romantic trip turns into a gripping story about
time-travelling and eternal idols. The plot is really original, which would please even the most skeptical adult audience.

“ Harry Potter” also involves supernatural moments but focuses more on witchcraft. The
plot follows the adventure of the young magician Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and his friends
who fight against the most powerful sorcerer in the world. The lead actor gives a tremendous performance and the script is natural, despite the theme it examines. The film would appeal especially to youngsters, because they can easily recall at the main characters.

I would definitely recommend both movies, since they offer an escape from reality and easily take the viewer in another world. They suit, though, very different types of audience – “Harry Potter” would do an excellent entertainment for the young, while “Midnight in Paris” with its rather complicated plot is more appropriate for grown-ups.
